The Board of Directors for Elant Choice, Inc. – a non-profit organization comprised of its Managed Long-Term Care Plan, Certified Home Health Agency, and a Social Day Program – recently welcomed new board member Mike Morey to its ranks.

The appointment follows the non-profit’s recent separation from its parent company to focus its efforts on its community-based services, and to further expand its catalog of forward-thinking, community-based services.

Mike Morey is a senior vice president at public affairs firm SKDKnickerbocker (NYC), and has spent more than 15 years in strategic communications, government, and public affairs. He previously served as the Hudson Valley Regional Director and then New York Communications Director for United States Senator Charles E. Schumer.

At SKDKnickerbocker, Morey manages strategic communications and crisis work for clients including Steward Health Care System, the City of New Orleans, the Rockefeller Foundation, Montefiore Medical Center, Health Quest Systems, Silo Ridge Ventures, and worked for clients such as Microsoft, Saratoga Casino and Resort, Genting, the Real Estate Board of New York, and the American Beverage Association. He is a graduate of Purchase College, and obtained his master’s and completed his doctoral coursework at American University. He lives in Westchester.
