Paulette joined EverCare in July 2016 as its general counsel.
Paulette previously served as general counsel, chief compliance officer, and in operational roles at various government and commercial health plans over the last 15 years, including the Visiting Nurse Service of New York, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, Nippon Life, UnitedHealthcare, and WellCare.
Prior to coming in-house, she practiced in the law firm of Day, Berry & Howard (now known as Day Pitney). Early in her career, Paulette held prosecutorial positions with the Kings County District Attorney’s Office and the U.S. Department of Justice. She was also an associate professor at Fordham University, and served on the board of directors of Family ReEntry, a not-for-profit dedicated to helping incarcerated persons re-enter society upon release.
Paulette earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Chicago in Chicago, Ill., her juris doctorate from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York, N.Y., where she was a Samuel Belkin Scholar, and her Master of Laws from Columbia Law School in New York, N.Y.
